The last time I thought JW were knocking at my door I answered with my shot gun in hand, turns out it was a Real Estate Agent, giving me one of those little notepads that they drop off, I told her thank you, I didn't say anything about my shotgun, she turned and left in a hurry.

OMG thats crazy, My mom doesn't tell me about any of the changes nor do I ask her for fear of being invited. WOW hostage for lunch huhh. Do people still do tailgate parties out in the parking lot, I remember some elders got pissed because my fam brought cooler, lawn chairs and small table, its all silly just another way for these people who have no power in the real world to push their power that the kingdumb hall gave them.

I am New and I Am Being Discriminated At Work For NOT BEING A Catholic
by Zelaira inand also catholics and lutherans who hate on jws are harrasssing because they are blindsided and i am sick of it .... why do witnesses have such hate poured on them by catholics and lutheran groups?
also, how do you deal with not celebrating holidays?
is it wrong to wear crosses or can it be a gothic thing that a witness can possibly understand?

JW, I think believe that the symbol of the cross is a pagan symbol, you would be in an elders meeting so fast if they caught you wearing one, BELIEVE ME, I don't know why the Catholics would be "hating on you" Although the way JW distance themselves from the rest of their peers makes it suspisious, for example, a JW would say that they are Worldly (like my name) meaning that anyone who isn't a JW is "of this world" so that means that you being a JW are not part of "this" world, I can only imagine if any group who doesn't include "you" as part of their world you would maybe be offended, Many people have JW family and have suffered through problems, such as holidays, barriers, and rude behavior such as not entering a church. I am not excusing a fellow Catholic for not showing you love as Jesus taught us, but the stigma that is associated with JW may scare them.

Can you prepare solid meals?
by greendawn incan you prepare interesting solid meals or do you not have the flare for it and instead prefer to live on take aways, restaurant meals or simple casual snack meals at home?
i find it hard to concentrate on cooking though i always want to do it and i have actually put together some interesting recipes several times.
there is a strange resistance blocking me.

Yes I love to cook, I have been cooking since I was 12, I like to gather up stuff and create my own dishes. I was told a very long time ago, that cooking is a science, so for some reason it just made sense to me. It doesn't have to be hard and once you learn all your basic herbs and spices, the rest comes easy. I wanted to write a cookbook for guys, I never made it, but I have a bunch of recipes and ideas that only have like 5 ingredients and super easy. I also do more gourmet dishes and dishes from around the world I've been into Spanish Tapas, I even had one of my Paella recipes published in a book for a trade organization that I belong to, it was funny but cool. And THANK GOD I cook because my wife just learned how to make a fried egg.
